Megazyme have just released the following new Dietary Fiber enzymes for use with the ANKOM dietary fiber analyser.
- E-AMGDF-A-100ml
- E-BLAAM-A-100ml
- E-BSPRT-A-100ml
Enzymes used for Ankom have different concentrations than enzymes supplied as standard Megazyme catalogue products:
Alpha-amylase is 4 -fold diluted (750 U/mL vc 3000 U/mL) and is supplied in 50% glycerol containing 0.09% azide (E-BLAAM does not contain glycerol)
Protease is 2-fold diluted (175 U/mL, 25 mg/ml vs 350 U/mL, 50 mg/mL) and is supplied in 50% glycerol containing 0.09% azide (E-BSPRT supplied in 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide)
Amyloglucosidase has the same concentration, the only difference is sodium azide content 0.09% in Ankom vs 0.02% standard.
The concentration of enzymes are adjusted so the correct number of enzyme units per sample could be delivered accurately by the equipment and also to rule out some issues caused by viscosity of the original enzyme preparations.
They are supplied at exactly the same concentrations as enzymes supplied directly to Ankom and by Ankom to their customers.
