Television personality and ex-wrestler Lee Man Ki promoting an aged care joint health sachet product from Dong Jin Pharmaceuticals: “Ho Kwan Won” features Aquamin soluble and MSM sourced from Canada. In the video, Lee mentions the recent increased life expectancy in Korea, with many people now reaching 100 years of age.
Dong Jin are well known suppliers of Red Ginseng products in Korea. The product features a variety of other herbal ingredients.
The TV commercial has been getting heavy airplay in South Korea. Aquamin is well established in this market, initially with fortified products aimed at children’s health. With an ageing population, there has recently been interest in aged care formulations and particularly in the area of joint health following Aquamin being declared Ingredient of the Year 2016 at Vitafoods Geneva in the Healthy Ageing Category.
